We need more than ‘a little bit of extra prayer.’ We must change the culture of our churches from spectator to participant, from praise and preaching to a house of prayer for the nations, from a weekly relationship with the church to a daily relationship with Christ over an open Bible. This is no small journey – it is a major paradigm shift. We have drifted, imperceptibly, into a model of Christianity that is far too silent before a lost world. Prayer is always at its heart worship (worth-ship, re-centering of values) and at its edge mission. Let’s begin the journey to recovering a spirit of fervent, transformational prayer.
